Having the ability to see foundations in this world, learn them, understand them, and use them helps us navigate our world tremendously more efficiently and effectively. When we can discover and apply the foundations of human behavior, crime, peace, communication, business, depression, Nature, weather, cosmology, and any other field, or anything else whatsoever, we are equipped with a powerful guide in the respected arenas of life that allow us to advance individually (for those who use the respected guides in their work and/or personal lives), as well as collectively, as a business, a mental health clinic, a police organization, a military, a law firm, a medical practice, a university/college/academy, an employment agency, or even as a global society. Foundations help us establish entirely new fields so we can better see and function across space and time.

For example, due to our understanding of the foundations of microbiology and health we are now able to prevent, diagnose, and treat ailments that before our ability to see microbes, bacteria, and pathogens were either misunderstood or unknown. Furthermore, before the invention of the microscope humans were unable to fully understand the concept of microbes, bacteria, and pathogens, much less even see these entities.

Another example, due to our understanding of the foundations of psychology and military operations we were able to create the field "PSYOP" ("Psychological Operations") and are now able to psychologically influence and attack non-friendly entities (enemies) inside and outside of times of war without engaging in invasive military tactics that would otherwise result in people (soldiers and civilians) being killed.

Instead of teaching people that 4+2=6, 4+3=7, 3-1=2, 3-2=1, 2*2=4, 2*3=6, 16÷4=4, 12÷4=3, and every other equation that can ever exist, we teach people the foundations of math so they can go forward knowing how to solve math problems they never saw before because they understand the fundamental rules. The same is true for grammar, medicine, justice, law enforcement. Whatsmore, when more foundations are discovered, learned, and used then our power and effectiveness in the respected field grows exponentially. For example, after knowing the basic foundations of math (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing), we then discovered, learned, benefit from the foundations of further (deeper) foundations in math, e.g. fractal theory, knot theory, discrete equations. All these previously hidden foundations help us greatly advance our species and society, and navigate our world far more effectively.
